Our office is based in Comberton Village College, from there we accept enrolments for all of our courses, including those in Cambourne, Melbourn and Comberton. To book onto a course, email us on commed@combertonvc.org or telephone us on 01223 264721.
Due to limited staff availability, our office is only open during term time. Please do not telephone to book onto a course during this time.
We are a cashless school. We accept cheques and take contactless card payments in person, directly from our office. Secure online payment links can be sent to you via a text message or email.
We can no longer accept payments over the telephone.
Online enrolments can be paid directly in GBP (Sterling) via a secure server over the internet by debit or credit card. Online enrolment will ask for additional information that will enable us to register you on your chosen course and allocate your payment accordingly.
Some course fees include an additional material cost, please check the individual course information sheets, for any additional costs linked to your course. We have included as much information as possible, on the course information sheets, please take time to read these details prior to enrolment.
Once you have enrolled onto your course, we will aim to send you conformation via email. Please retain this email for your reference. If you are unclear of any details, please contact us directly for clarification. Early enrolment is recommended to ensure the course of your choice proceeds as planned.
Additional information, guidance and course induction typically occurs during the first session of each course, which is key for attendance. If you have any concerns after your course is scheduled to start, please discuss with us, or your tutor, as soon as possible.
We would suggest you confirm course availability and cost by telephone or email before sending your cheque (payable to 'The Cam Academy Trust' for all courses) to Adult Education, Comberton Village College, West Street, Comberton, Cambridge CB23 7DU.
Please make it clear which course(s) you require and provide your contact details. An email address or a stamped addressed envelope is required if you need a receipt. Please do not send cash by post. Unless you are notified by us, assume your enrolment has been accepted.
The Adult Education team is based at Comberton Village College and operates on part time opening hours. Please ask at the main reception desk to make a booking/payment or to speak with a member of the Adult Education team. Payment may be made by cheque or debit card. Cheques are to be made payable to The Cam Academy Trust.
Refunds are only available if we close a class or you choose to withdraw no less than two weeks before the start date. In the latter instance, there will be an administrative charge of £5.00. If a class is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, such as snow or tutor illness, an extra class or classes will be added to the programme, whenever possible and no refund will be available.
Full refunds are available in the event of complete course cancellation or early closure from the college. The college retains the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule courses. It maybe neccessary to modify advertised course details including, cost, location, content and tutor. Courses must meet minimum viability requirements to proceed and maybe cancelled or shortened by the college if minimum numbers are not met.
Concessionary discounts of 25% (excluding materials) are available if you are in receipt of a means-tested benefit: JSA/ESA or Universal Credit; Carers Allowance or a social care assessment (EHCP, DLA PIP). Evidence of this must be presented on enrolment. Most of our courses display two fees, the concessionary fee is the lower amount advertised.
